  1. Hey Michael,
    It’s been a while since I’ve commented … sorry.
    Lots of love in this months offering;
    The detail in between the bamboo fronds on Bamboo Dance.
    Beautiful tones in those ripples of Stradbroke Isle
    and Woodhelven just leaps off the screen.
    All those colors sneaking in from the jungle.
    Done back when you were a smoker I’m guessing with the coffee cup and ashtray on the table.
    Where was it done?
    Looks familiar?
    Or maybe it is just that I’ve seen it before?

    • Hi Brett,

      Woodhelven is where Jody grew up, it’s a shack in the hills above Uki near Murwillumbah. I remember you saw this in production in Sydney, you gave some good advice on the balance of colours at a point when it looked like it was supposed to be all about the dishes in the sink. Fortunately I was able to downplay them a bit. That’s Ray’s ashtray, cards, cribbage board…plus a small brown secret hidden behind the fridge. Unfortunately the photo didn’t turn out with much resolution so it still won’t be clear what it is.

      Cheers, thanks for your comment, Mike
